Creating Ceramic Décor

As a ceramic artist, my inspiration for my décor comes from a variety of sources. Sometimes, it's stunning beauty of nature that catches my eye and inspires me to create a art that captures its essence in clay. Other times, it's my fantasy that inspires me to create something unique and eye-catching. No matter what inspires me, the thought process behind each of my pieces is the same. I start by sketching out my ideas, playing with different shapes and sizes until I come up with a design that I'm happy with. From there, I select the type of clay that I want to use and begin to sculpt the piece using ceramist techniques. Creating a ceramic décor is a labor of love. It requires patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to experiment. I often have to make multiple attempts at a piece before I get it just right, but that's all part of the process. Once I'm happy with the way the green ware looks, I'll let it dry before firing it in a kiln. This process can take several hours, depending on the size and complexity of the art work. After the piece has been fired, I'll add any glazes or finishes that I want to give it a unique look. I take great pride in my ceramic décor, and I love the way they bring beauty and character to any space. Whether I'm creating a small vase or a large sculpture, I always put my heart and soul into each and every art work.
